An age-old concern for all businesses is how to get it noticed. The 21st Century answer is through a website. But many smaller companies still do not have web sites and are missing out on significant business.

Craig Fry, a partner at Wade & Partners, spoke about this very issue at the recent Service Specialists Assn. (SSA) annual convention, and his presentation is now available to the general public on SSA’s web site, www.truckservice.org.

In addition to tips on building an effective website, Fry addresses the importance of advertising and how it has changed through the years. Today, he noted, the idea for an ad campaign needs to approach the product emotionally to create a connection between the customer and the brand.

He also focuses on the topic of his speech, “How to Build a Pretty Good Web Site,” laying out how companies can quickly build and launch one of their own.
