Volvo Trucks North America is continuing its sole sponsorship of America’s Road Team for 2008, the trucking industry’s safety outreach program established 20 years ago by the American Trucking Assns. (ATA)

America’s Road Team consists of professional truck drivers who advocate highway safety and by speaking to students, local and state officials, regulators, lawmakers, and the general public on a regular basis.

“The Road Team Captains have helped promote a positive public opinion of our industry. They have also tirelessly delivered the trucking industry’s safety message,” said Scott Kress, Volvo sr. vp – sales & marketing. “We are honored and proud to once again sponsor America’s Road Team. The Road Team’s emphasis on safety perfectly complements Volvo’s determination to build the safest trucks for our customers and everyone else on the highway.”
