HELP Inc., the public-private partnership that manages the PrePass e-clearance system, has elected a new slate of officers with Joe Hill of the Illinois DOT taking over as chairman for Duan Henn of Werner Enterprises.
Larry Davis of the Ohio Trucking Assn. has also been elected to serve as vice chairman and John Prather of Groendyke Transportation as secretary-treasurer. All three will serve two-year terms, with Davis in place to move up to chairman at the end of the current term.
Elected to one-year terms as members at large were Mike Akridge of Florida DOT, Rick Clasby of Utah DOT, Dan Frieden of Venture Logistics Inc., Gary Okes of Estes Express and Steve Vaughn of the Calif. Highway Patrol.
HELP’s PrePass automated clearance service is currently active in 28 states with 279 locations. Over 415,000 trucks are now enrolled in the service, which has processed more than 239 million automated bypasses since its inception in 1995.
