Baylor Trucking has increased driver pay while also instituting a weekly minimum to ensure drivers have a steady flow of income, the company said.
“Whenever we are able to do more for our drivers, we do,” said owner Bob Baylor. “It’s a priority for us at Baylor to provide the best pay package we can along with excellent equipment and benefits.”
The pay increase, which went into effect Feb. 1, allows drivers to make up to $0.44 per mile. Over-the-road drivers will also be guaranteed a weekly minimum pay of $1,000.
Baylor operates 300 trucks hauling dry goods through terminals in Indiana and Tennessee.
