Drivefleet, a provider of training to commercial fleet vehicle drivers and managers, will use Meridian Knowledge Solutions’ technology platform to deliver mobile and e-learning driver education.
“We looked at more than 20 learning management systems before choosing Meridian’s software; it has power and flexibility including the capability for us to brand it in different ways,” said Rich Radi, CEO, Drivefleet.
Fleet managers will be able to use Drivefleet as an online tool to manage employee training plans and provide access to real-time management information, Drivefleet said.
“Drivefleet and its technology partner Novigy asked us to develop mobile and e-learning driver training courses that organizations could buy online,” said John Leh, vice president of sales and marketing for Meridian. “Drivefleet wants fleet drivers to have an online, interactive training experience that engages students and provides powerful management tools; our software gives them a scalable, function-rich environment for reliably delivering this experience to their customers.”
Among the educational content that can be delivered to drivers is defensive driving, eco-driving, distracted driving and more, said Radi.
“The software will deliver our courses in a high-quality fashion to a large number of customers via an enterprise-class platform that people can access using a laptop, desktop or mobile device,” he added.
