Interstate Distributor offering new pay package for OTR regional drivers

July 9, 2012

Interstate Distributor Co. is offering over-the-road (OTR) regional drivers a new pay package that provides a competitive base rate plus the opportunity to receive additional per-mile pay, the company said.

The new My Pay package gives each driver the chance to add an additional 3 cents per mile quarterly.

“Since joining Interstate in February, I have heard from our driving associates that they wanted to be rewarded for their personal performance and have an opportunity to earn more money,” said Marc Rogers, president & CEO.  “We heard their ideas on how Interstate should reward drivers for exceptional performance, and now we’re starting the process of doing something about it.”

Interstate is adding more home time options, improving average weekly miles, and adding 350 new 2013 Freightliners to its fleet, it said.

Interstate is a provider of transportation services including local, regional, refrigerated, dedicated, intermodal, and transcontinental.
