• NAFA names director of meetings & education

    Sept. 21, 2012

NAFA Fleet Management Assn. has named Matthew L. Marcial, CMP, as its new director of meetings and education.

“Marcial brings a strong background in meeting and event management,” said NAFA’s Executive Director, Phillip E. Russo, CAE.

Marcial comes to NAFA from the American Assn. of Clinical Endocrinologists, Jacksonville, FL, where he served as director of meetings & event services.

“In addition to directing all aspects of AACE's Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Congress, Matthew also handled site-selection and negotiated and contracted all of the association’s programs,” Russo added. “Matthew also has a good understanding of managing education programs with continuing education credits, which will be helpful for NAFA and its certification efforts.  He understands that his role is to motivate his staff to provide the highest levels of member satisfaction while producing high quality educational programs. “

Marcial is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) who recently completed his MBA from Florida International University and teaches a course on event planning for Duke University’s Continuing Studies program.
