Angela Shue joins Cadec Global

Oct. 16, 2012

Cadec Global has hired former Xata executive Angela Shue as vice president of sales, responsible for all aspects of the company’s PowerVue family of products and for expanding the Cadec Global’s presence in North America.

Also, the company has named Owen Smith senior vice president of product strategy.

Shue has 25 years of enterprise sales experience in the transportation industry, including her time as director of client management as well as director of sales at Xata Corp., now XRS.

“I’ve been in this industry a long time, and over the past year or so I have seen a real transformation at Cadec,” said Shue. “I’m very impressed with the Cadec team and technology, and the company’s tight focus on providing the best fleet management solutions to the trucking industry. I have had a lot of success selling best-of-breed solutions like PowerVue into enterprise accounts, so this is a great fit for me. I’m really excited to dig in and get started.”

Smith was formerly vice president of sales and marketing for Cadec. In his new role, Smith will drive the strategic vision of Cadec’s enterprise-class solutions, including product management, marketing and partner development.

“This new role is a great opportunity for me to focus on market needs and how Cadec can meet those needs through technology innovation and new partnerships,” said Smith.  “With Angela running sales, we can work closely together to make sure Cadec’s solutions align with what our customers need in order to run their fleets as efficiently as possible.”
