Southeastern Freight Lines opens service centers

Oct. 22, 2012

Southeastern Freight Lines has opened a service center in Fort Worth, TX, to meet increasing needs in Texas while also lessening the work load on its Dallas facility.

The new facility features 15,000 sq. ft. of office space, a 10,000 sq. ft. appointment warehouse and 125 doors.

“We are excited to better serve the local market by adding this service center in Fort Worth,” said Matt Bowen, service center manager for Southeastern in Fort Worth. “This service center will lighten the load on our Dallas service center and thereby ensure top notch customer service and delivery times to our Fort Worth customer.”

The Fort Worth Service Center will employ over 100 individuals, including 10 new hires from the Fort Worth community, the regional less-than-truckload carrier said.

The company also opened a facility in Lafayette, LA.

That facility, located at 1038 Walker Road, Lafayette, LA, 70506, has 28 doors and will provide improved morning delivery performance and decreased travel time between service centers and Southeastern customers, the company said. The center will primarily service the Lafayette and Alexandria areas.
