John Beering has been named senior vice president and general manager of Eaton Corp.’s Commercial Vehicle Transmission Business, effective Jan. 1, 2013.
Beering most recently served as vice president and general manager for Eaton’s Global Vehicle Group Aftermarket and Clutch business. He will be based in Galesburg, MI, and serve in a dual role until a successor is found for his previous position.
“John’s success in key roles at Eaton along with his extensive experience in the commercial vehicle market makes him the ideal person to lead our Commercial Vehicle Transmission business,” said Tim Sinden, president – North America Truck Operations. “We are pleased to have John’s talent and enthusiasm as we continue to grow in this important segment of our business.”
Beering joined Eaton in 2006 as director of global marketing for the Eaton Truck Group. Prior to joining Eaton, Beering worked at United Technologies Corporation, where his last assignment was as director of marketing for Pratt & Whitney’s Large Commercial Engines and Service Business.
