Robert L. Johnson, founder of the BET television network and RLJ Equity Partners, has purchased R. Thompson Trucking from Linx Capital Partners. Terms were not disclosed.
R. Thompson Trucking, which has been rebranded RLJ Trucking, is a minority owned company providing bulk materials and waste hauling services to clients ranging from construction companies and other independent contractors to municipal governments throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. It has been family operated since 1948.

The fleet has over 150 tractors, 100 dump trucks and 500 trailers.
