FleetPride names CEO

Kevin A. Peters has been name CEO of FleetPride, a retailer of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts and a portfolio company of private investment firm TPG.  Peters succeeds Woody McGee, who will remain on the Board of Directors.

Peters comes to FleetPride after five years at Office Depot, most recently as president, North America.

“Woody and the team have built an impressive company and we are pleased that he will continue to serve on the board of Directors. We are also excited to welcome Kevin and believe his experience in business transformation leadership and innovation will drive the next stage of FleetPride’s growth.  His decision to lead FleetPride at this time is a testament to the company's attractive prospects,” said Kevin Burns, partner at TPG.

Peters joined Office Depot in 2007. Prior to that, he was senior vice president-merchandising and supply chain at W.W. Grainger.

“I am excited about the opportunity to help grow FleetPride’s business lines,” said Peters.  “FleetPride and its FleetCarerepair and maintenance service can continue to experience significant growth through acquisition and expanding our customer base.  We understand that timely and quality maintenance are critical to our customers’ bottom line and we view ourselves as partners in reducing downtime and keeping their fleets moving.  I’m also looking forward to working with the TPG team which has deep industrial distribution and vehicle aftermarket sector experience.”
