Tony Bradley has been named president and CEO of the Arizona Trucking Assn. by its board of directors. Bradley succeeds Karen Rasmussen, who served as president from 2001 until 2012. She is now president & CEO of Help Inc.
Bradley will also serve as the executive director for the Arizona Transportation Education Foundation. He has more than 15 years of experience in public policy, government relations, and public affairs.
“We are excited to announce Tony Bradley as our new president and CEO,” said Arizona Trucking Assn. Board President George Cravens. “Tony brings a unique set of skills and experience that will continue ATA’s long history of success.”
Bradley will be responsible for legislative and government advocacy, communications, and management of the association.
“ATA has been serving its members for more than 75 years and I am excited to continue to build on the legacy created by my predecessors,” said Bradley. “Trucking is the backbone of our economy and I look forward to working with ATA’s members to provide them the support they need in order to be successful.”
According to the Association, Bradley has a Juris Doctorate (JD) from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Prior to law school, Bradley was a partner at an award winning consulting firm that helped political campaigns, non-profits, and businesses leverage the power of the Internet for fund-raising, grassroots building, and communications. He has consulted on over 100 local, state, and federal campaigns. Notably, while working as Deputy Internet Director for McCain 2000, Bradley was part of the team who set the standard for using the Internet for political campaigns, raising more than 6.4 million dollars and recruiting more than 142,000 online members, which was unprecedented at the time.
In addition, Bradley worked on Capitol Hill for the Senate Commerce Committee. He began his career in politics as a staff assistant for Sen. John McCain.
