Road closures announced for Mardi Gras celebrations in St. Louis

The Missouri Dept. of Transportation has announced several interstate ramps closures due to this weekend’s Mardi Gras activities in St. Louis.

On Saturday, the north and southbound Interstate 55 ramps to Arsenal and Gravois/Russell and the northbound I-55 ramp to 3200 Broadway will be closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. The ramp from eastbound I-64 to 6th St. will be shut down from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

On Tuesday, the eastbound I-70 ramp to Broadway will be closed from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for the parade and other Mardi Gras activities, according to KMOV News.

MoDOT officials also said once-a-day closures will begin Feb. 11 on I-64 at the new Daniel Boone Missouri River Bridge to block rock. During these closures, traffic will be stopped for up to 10 minutes at either 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. The closure will continue for about one a month.
