Hino Motors Sales appoints new president

Yoshinori Noguchi has been named president of Hino Motors Sales USA, which operates under the umbrella of Hino Trucks.

Noguchi has been a board member of Hino Trucks since June 2010 and also held the title of managing officer at Hino Motors Limited in Japan since April 2012. He joined Hino in 1977 and has held various positions with Hino throughout the world.

Most recently, Noguchi was responsible for all overseas business, which includes the U.S. From 2006 through 2009, he was president of Hino Motors Sales Thailand.

“I am looking forward to working with our dealers to expand Hino’s presence in the U.S. market,” said Noguchi. “Our conventional truck lineup has reached an all-time high in market share and customer satisfaction, while adding our new cabover diesel and diesel-electric hybrid provides our dealers and customers with an expanded product offering.”

Noguchi replaces Sumio Fukaya, who retired on March 25.
