Wayne Cederholm II, CEO for TL carrier C.R. England, has died. He succumbed to complications from a bone marrow transplant on April 9 this week.

Cederholm joined C.R. England in 1980 and served in a variety of roles over his 33-year career with the refrigerated carrier: credit manage, VP-safety and personnel, VP-administration, senior VP-North American operations, COO and finally CEO.

Dean England, president of C.R. England, said in a statement that Cederholm played an “integral role” in helping transform his family’s company from an $18 million operation into a $1.5 billion organization that is ranked as the 16thlargest trucking firm in the U.S. as well as the nation’s 6thlargest TL carrier.

"His determination was incredible," England said. "Now he is free from the challenges he has faced for the last eight months. He faced this with the same class and strength he always displayed with every challenge he faced during his long career with our company. We will miss him beyond measure. He left a mark on this organization that will be imprinted forever. In spite of our sorrow we honor him and pay tribute to a life well lived."

He is survived by his wife and three grown children. In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions made to Junior Achievement of Utah
