    April 19, 2013

VT Hackney, a subsidiary of VT Systems, has named John Sommer Jr. to the position of vice president of sales for Kidron Truck Products. Sommer will oversee all strategic sales efforts related to Kidron, including management of Kidron’s national account and regional sales team.

“John has been an integral part of Kidron’s sales growth since his career began,” said Mike Tucker, president, VT Hackney.  “He has a great understanding of the value of Kidron products and how they translate to customer needs.  His background in aftermarket, customer service and national account sales has served as great preparation for his new role.”

Sommer joined Kidron in 1998 and has held various management positions in areas of customer service, marketing and sales. Most recently, he has served as national accounts director.

“The Kidron brand represents leadership in the industry,” said Sommer.  “We are blessed with an experienced employee base and exceptional sales team.  I look forward to the new challenge and continuing the success of Kidron Truck Products.”
