C.R England reorganizes senior leadership

May 2, 2013

C.R. England has announced a reorganization of its senior leadership team. The changes are a result of the death of former CEO Wayne Cederholm, who passed away on April 9, 2013.

Dean England, formerly company president, will now hold the title of co-chairman. Chad England, formerly COO, will assume the title and responsibility of CEO.  Josh England, CFO, will take on the added title and duties of president.

“While Wayne Cederholm's passing was certainly unexpected, the company has always had in place a strong plan for leadership continuity,” Dan England, chairman, said. “This reorganization is designed to reinforce and further promote C. R. England's position in the marketplace as an industry leader. These moves allow us to further increase the focus on our drivers, customers and employees and provide for more concentration on strategic future planning while continuing to solidify our position as the world's largest temperature-controlled carrier.

Dean England, true to family tradition, has worked at every level of the company. At an early age he traveled with his father Gene England on cross-country long hauls. He has worked for the company as a freight handler, truck washer, maintenance manager, terminal manager, operations manager, director of operations, COO, CEO and president prior to assuming his new duties.

Chad England has been involved in the family business since the age of 14, working in nearly every department and continues to maintain his commercial driver's license. He has held numerous positions in the company including driver manager, director of operations management, vice president of opportunity leasing, vice president of recruiting, training, and safe driving, president of England North America and COO.

Josh England was named CFO in January 2013. Previously, he was the president of England Logistics, a wholly owned subsidiary of C.R. England. He also has an extensive background in the transportation industry, having served as vice president of independent contractor division, controller of North American division, and manager of freight profitability for C.R. England.
