DTNA launches job search app

June 13, 2013

Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) has launched a new careers app for those interested in pursuing careers with the manufacturer.

Positions across the company range from the factory to the office, including production, maintenance, engineering, IT, finance and controlling, sales, marketing, and supply chain management.

The DTNA Careers app features job search functionality, the ability to share jobs with friends, a calendar of events DTNA is attending, and high-level benefits and compensation information. It also highlights DTNA’s culture, showcasing employees on and off the clock with integrated videos.

“Our experience at job fairs showed us that people are turning to mobile devices in greater numbers to learn about job opportunities,” said Sheri Michalak, manager of talent acquisition at DTNA.  “Innovation is in the company’s DNA, so even in Human Resources, we are constantly looking for new ways to do things.  We have designed this app to engage job seekers so that they no longer have to search for us – we come to them. By downloading the app, they’re opting to become part of our talent community.”

While the free app is currently only offered for iOS products, the company plans to expand the app to other platforms in the future.
