OPW combines business units

June 14, 2013

Global integrated fluid handling solutions provider OPW has combined its Above Ground and Below Ground business units into a single entity known as OPW Retail Fueling.

Mike McCann has been named vice president and general manager of the combined group, reporting directly to OPW president David Crouse.

“As a combined group, we will be uniquely capable of providing the industry’s only fully-integrated underground environmental protection, fuel transfer, containment and hanging hardware solution,” said Crouse. “Starting with standard-setting spill and overfill prevention and sophisticated piping & containment systems designed with monitoring capabilities to the broadest range of dispensing solutions in the world, this combined group has the scope, scale, capacity and experience to deliver global fueling solutions unlike any other.”

Prior to this appointment, McCann was the vice president & general manager of the Below Ground Products Group, a position he has held since 2007. He also served as vice president & general manager of the Dispensing Systems business unit from 2005-2007.

“Mike’s tremendous experience in both businesses makes him uniquely qualified to lead this business unit,” said Crouse. “Under Mike’s leadership, both business units introduced revolutionary innovations and achieved stellar business results.  Mike’s customer focus, product expertise, and industry experience will serve our customers well in his new role.”

“By combining the two groups, we will be able to deliver greater value to our customers,” said McCann. “We will capitalize on our collective strengths to further accelerate product innovation and leverage our considerable manufacturing, operations, sales, and support capabilities to better serve our customers, distributors, and contractors.  The scale of the new group will enable us to enhance our customer care and bring even more resources to bear pioneering industry leading solutions.”
