FreightCenter names COO

FreightCenter, a Tampa, FL-based third-party logistics provider, has appointed Doug Walls chief operating officer. Walls was most recently chief information officer.

He will lead FreightCenter’s efforts to expand its products and services, which includes the development of freight management software for third-party logistics providers (3PLs), the company said. He has been managing the company’s infrastructure and technology development for the past eight years.

“This promotion reflects our commitment to excellence. We have built a high-performance team that requires recruitment and retention strategies that recognize individuals for their leadership. Doug exemplifies our integrity and high standards for meeting our mission to serve customers and carriers. He is a passionate team player who consistently develops new cost and time-saving programs that exceed expectations while strategically growing our business,” said Matthew Brosious, CEO and president.

The past eight years at FreightCenter has provided me with the experience and support required to be successful in this new position.
