Summit adds KC lease-and-rental service facility

Summit Holdings has added a 15,000-sq-ft leasing and rental facility in Kansas City, KS, to its network.

The new center features 10 service bays and a wash bay, with four bays dedicated to lease and rental customers. The service bays include overhead TV monitors and the latest diagnostic equipment for faster repairs.

The location employs eight service technicians, who are certified to work on Cummins and MaxxForce engines.

The Summit Lease and Rental facility also includes a fuel island with above ground fuel storage, a mezzanine parts warehouse for more than $350,000 of parts inventory, generous office space, a drivers’ lounge/employee break room, improved storm water management and energy efficient lighting throughout.

“This location offers parts and service, as well as commercial truck lease and rental services,” said David Spinner, East Region district manager. “This facility has everything we need to provide customers with a convenient one-stop shop experience and a higher standard of value. Summit is making a big investment in this and other locations to demonstrate our commitment to the marketplace.”

Summit Holdings is a privately held company that does business as Summit Truck Group, Summit Bus, and Summit Lease & Rental.

The company operates 29 commercial truck and bus dealerships in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas. Summit Truck Group represents and services International, Kenworth, Volvo, Mack, and Isuzu commercial trucks as well as Crane Carrier specialty vehicles. Summit Bus represents and services IC Bus and other commercial bus brands.

Summit Lease & Rental provides commercial truck lease and rental as well as mobile and dedicated maintenance services through  17 Idealease locations.
