Transplace expands Canadian operations

Dec. 9, 2014

Transportation management services provider Transplace has expanded its Canadian operations in the Calgary and Montreal areas.

In December 2012, Transplace acquired Torus Freight Systems and its office in Richmond Hill, Ontario. The new Canadian offices allow Transplace to expand its presence and continue to specialize in Canadian cross-border and intra-Canada freight.

“We are excited to announce the expansion of our Canadian division. The new facility in Quebec is surrounded by a unique and distinct transportation community of shippers and carriers, and Transplace has the resources, technology, and experience ready to serve this province,” said Transplace President and Commercial Chief Officer George Abernathy. “The Calgary office, located in the heart of large shale oil reserves, is a direct reflection of our oil and gas expertise and services. We look forward to working with the shippers and carriers of the Alberta Province.”
