ATA, Healthy Trucker expand Healthy Fleet Challenge

Jan. 15, 2015

The American Trucking Assns. (ATA) and Healthy Trucker have expanded the Healthy Fleet Challenge to include all ATA member companies.

“We saw in October at our annual MC&E how successful just a small-scale challenge was, so we wanted to expand it to all our members,” said Bill Graves, ATA president & CEO. “The health and wellness of our members and their employees and drivers is very important, so this friendly competition will help people fulfill those New Year’s resolutions and get in shape in 2015.”

Starting now, ATA’s companies can not only compete with each other, but on behalf of the United States against fleets in Canada, making the challenge a truly international effort to energize the industry to get and stay healthy, it said.

“Let's face it; the vast majority of us could stand to be more active. The Healthy Fleet Challenge is a fun and engaging way to get everyone moving – together,” said Glenn Caldwell, vice president of corporate development at Healthy Trucker. “Small changes to lifestyle – like this challenge – have a positive compounding effect over the long term.”
