The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Assn. (OOIDA) has launched a new online resource to help truck drivers prepare for required DOT medical exams.

The D.O.T. Doc Website offers information for drivers to help them use National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners, operated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, effectively. Since May 2014, FMCSA has required that all DOT physicals be completed by an eligible Certified Medical Examiner (CME).

The website allows drivers to search the database for physicians who are on the CME registry. Users can also submit reviews of medical examiners and to search for reviews that other drivers have submitted.

“This website will provide a variety of resources to help drivers prepare for a visit to a certified medical examiner,” OOIDA Director of Regulatory Affairs Scott Grenerth said.

The site features 10 concise topics to help truckers prepare for their exam.

    The website is: http://www.ooida.com/ReviewDoc.
