• Illinois lawmakers seek to raise the motor fuel tax for first time since 1990, according to WGEM.com. That move would impact the trucking industry, WGEM reports.

• The California Trucking Association has formed the Labor Law Consortium to educate California truckers about the state’s labor laws, Trucking News online reported.

• Gold’s Gym in Dallas and Rolling Strong partner to provide health and wellness services to trucking companies and their drivers, according to Club Industry.

• UPS adds more alternative fuel vehicles to fleet, and CNG fueling stations will be built to support those new vehicles, Hydrogen Fuel News reported.

• A four-year investigation into rusty brake lines by U.S. regulators did not result in a recall for General Motors pickups, said Bloomberg.
