• According to a new study of a trucking company adopting Toyota’s lean principles, researchers from NYU and Columbia found there could be a risk of letting employees know where they rank amongst their peers, QZ.com reported.

Millions of bee hives were scattered on a Washington state highway this morning after a tractor-trailer carrying the honeybees overturned early this morning, according to the Post. The bees, according to the report, were being transported to a pollinate crops at a blueberry farm about 100 miles north of Seattle.

• James Starr has been named The National Tank Truck Carriers’ Driver of the Year, according to Go by Truck News.

• Build Dakota scholarships offers incentives for qualified students to pursue a technical education in occupations with worker shortages, the Sioux City Journal reported. According to the report, these types of jobs don’t often attract women, but women who have pursued careers in these more hands-on fields report they are satisfied.
