    Here is a look at what is happening in the world of transportation this morning:

    • Minnesota trucking firm and car dealer groups are suing the state to block its 10% biodiesel mandate, which they say hurts their business and violates federal law, TwinCities.com reported.

    • A small trucking company in Australia has been forced to pay a former driver $6,000 after he was allegedly fired partly because of his half-shaved beard, according to Yahoo Finance.

    • The city of Oregon received $1.5 million from the U.S. to remove air pollution in the city, and the city will use the funding to replace 23 diesel-fuelled tractor-trailers that travel more than 1.3 million miles a year, according to Energy Live News.

    Young’s Commercial Transfer, an independent trucking firm in Porterville, CA, is celebrating its 80th year in business, The Porterville Recorder reported.

    • ZAP, an electric vehicle automotive company in Santa Rosa, CA, is a contender to supply the United States Postal Service with its next generation of energy-efficient delivery trucks, according to Trucking News online.
