Agility Fuel Systems searches for new CEO

Agility Fuel Systems announced that Barry Engle has accepted an executive vice president position with General Motors and will depart from his post as CEO of Agility. He will, however, continue to serve on Agility's Board of Directors.The Board is thoughtfully considering succession plans and has initiated a CEO search process, the company said. Bill Nowicke, the company's chief operating officer, has been named the interim-CEO of the Company and will work with Engle to ensure a smooth transition, the company noted. "In his role as COO, Bill has provided strong, hands-on operational leadership. He knows the company well and is uniquely able to take on additional responsibilities," said Mike Gallagher, Chairman of the Board. "On behalf of the Board, we sincerely thank Barry for his contributions over the past four years. He guided the company through a period of rapid growth, assembled a fantastic team and built a great foundation for continued success. We appreciate the leadership, passion, and vision which he has brought to Agility." Engle will remain both a member of Agility's Board of Directors and a shareholder of the company, the company announced."It has been an honor and privilege to be part of the Agility team. I'm pleased to be able to maintain my involvement on the board as we continue to grow and build the company," Engle said. In his new role at General Motors, Engle will become a member of the GM Executive Leadership Team and serve as President, South America with responsibility for operations in Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela.
