Transportation management services and logistics technology provider Transplace has named a new president and COO and added responsibilities to John Kelly, who currently leads Canadian operations.Kelly has been named president of Transplace’s international business units. In addition to the Canadian operations, which he will continue to guide, Kelly will now be responsible for Transplace’s ocean and air forwarding business units as well as the company’s Mexico business.Kelly will report to Frank McGuigan, the new president and COO of Transplace.“Transplace has enjoyed record performance across our company, and these organizational changes will further support our drive for operational excellence and the quality of service we provide to our customers,” said Tom Sanderson, CEO, Transplace. “Frank and John’s exceptional leadership has been instrumental in helping Transplace continue to grow into a leading provider of transportation management solutions, intermodal, brokerage and logistics technology across North America. He most recently served as president of the company’s transportation management business unit.
