Trimac to offer CDL tuition reimbursement

Motor carrier says its program will pay out a maximum of $5,000

Bulk carrier Trimac Transportation is rolling out a new commercial driver's license (CDL) tuition reimbursement program in the U.S.; paying qualified students in monthly installments until the tuition has been fully reimbursed or the employee is no longer with the company up to a maximum of $5,000.

To be eligible for this program, drivers must attend a Trimac-approved driving school from a list located on the company's website.

“Professional CDL-A drivers are the backbone of the transportation industry and keep America moving," noted Tonja Wilhelms, Trimac’s U.S. recruiting manager, in a statement.

“With that in mind, we at Trimac want to invest in those individuals who want to pursue this career by assisting with out-of-pocket tuition costs incurred in making this rewarding career choice,” Wilhelms added. “We are passionate about our drivers and want to make Trimac a preferred place to work as students begin to explore the many job possibilities presented to them upon graduation.”
