USA Truck renames asset-light business USAT Logistics

May 4, 2016

USA Truck announced the rebranding of its asset-light logistics business, formerly known as Strategic Capacity Solutions, to USAT Logistics. The name change and the design of a logo for USAT Logistics are the first steps in USA Truck’s strategy to more fully realize the value of its asset-light business through an expanded 3PL offering, market share gains and aggressive revenue growth.

USA Truck president and CEO Randy Rogers said: “Complementing our asset-based Trucking business with robust third-party logistics capabilities gives us a unique position in the marketplace that will enhance our customers’ overall experience. USA Truck has been an asset-based truckload carrier for over 30 years. That real-world experience gives our organization an understanding of the issues and concerns our customers deal with every day in moving their freight. USAT Logistics represents an evolution of our brand and our business.”

According to the company, USAT Logistics provides a wide variety of freight transportation services to clients throughout North America, managing both customer and carrier relationships through 10 strategically located Regional Centers.

In 2015, USAT Logistics accounted for 30% of the company’s operating revenue and has consistently outpaced the economy for market share growth, the company added.

Jim Craig, President of USAT Logistics, added: “Our customers can expect us to bring consistency and predictability to their supply chain needs, combining the reliability of our asset-based service with the flexibility and virtually limitless capacity of a true 3PL provider. In addition to our other re-branding efforts, we are also putting the final touches on a new website, USATLogistics.com, which will be unveiled in early June, giving our customers and carrier-partners greater connectivity and access to the full breadth of our capabilities.”
