The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) will hold a one-hour, complimentary webinar for fleets to lean about Proposition 1B funding on Thursday, June 23, at 2 p.m. PDT.
Fleets will learn about the $50 million in Proposition 1B: Goods Movement Emission Reduction Program for:
- Heavy-duty truck replacements
- Transport refrigeration units (TRUs)
- Supporting infrastructure, such as truck stop electrification; electric charging stations; hydrogen fueling stations; and infrastructure for zero-emission TRUs
The funding provides for up to $200,000 in truck replacement costs for clean advanced technologies and up to $100,000 for zero emission TRUs.

Who should attend?
- Fleets operating Class 6, 7 and 8 trucks in California
- Fleets compliant with CARB’s Truck and/or Drayage Rule
- Owners of TRUs
- Entities who wish to own and operate electrification or hydrogen infrastructure for trucks or TRUs
The webinar will be presented by Vicki White, program supervisor, SCAQMD. White has over 14 years of experience at the Technology Advancement Office of the SCAQMD. She has knowledge of the Proposition 1B funding as well as its policies and guidelines.
On June 3, the SCAQMD released the newest round of Proposition 1B funding. The Proposition 1B Program is administered by a partnership between SCAQMD and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to quickly reduce air pollution from freight movement along California’s trade corridors. Projects must achieve early or extra emission reductions not otherwise required by law or regulation.
