Patton acquires Milton Transportation to bolster warehousing and Watsontown Trucking operations
Patton Logistics Group is acquiring Milton Transportation and Warehousing, BTR Inc., and related real estate holdings through its affiliated companies, Patton announced on June 25.
Patton already includes Watsontown Trucking (No. 248 on the FleetOwner 500: For-Hire list), Patton Warehousing, and Patton Logistics, which include fleets of 525 trucks, 1,800 trailers, and more than 5 million square feet of warehouse space. The company also manages a growing brokerage division. Located in Milton, Pennsylvania, Patton currently has more than 1,000 employees in Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Ohio.

Milton Transportation will become part of Watsontown Trucking, an asset-based carrier operating in the U.S. and Canada. The Milton acquisition includes 40 trucks, 300 trailers, two truck maintenance facilities, and a body and alignment shop.
“This acquisition marks another important step in Patton’s growth strategy,” Steve Patton, president of Patton Logistics Group, said. “It allows us to deepen our presence in key markets, increase capacity, and better serve our customers with end-to-end logistics solutions.”
The expansion boosts Watsontown’s regional capacity and reinforces its ability to deliver flexible, responsive transportation solutions, company leaders said in the announcement.
Patton Warehousing LLC will integrate Milton’s warehousing operations, adding 200,000 square feet of warehouse space. Milton reported that the additional acreage acquired in the transaction allows it to create another 350,000 square feet of warehouse space in central Pennsylvania.
The transaction is expected to close June 27.
