LOUISVILLE. Kinedyne announced that it will offer its free Cargo Securement Regulation Training Program from 2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. on April 1 in room B101 during the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) 2016.
The training follows Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and is designed to reduce Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) program violations, minimize liability and promote highway safety while eliminating inaccuracy and ambiguity in cargo securement protocols.
The program is an all-inclusive instructional presentation that provides attendees an understanding of FMCSA regulations and how they impact CSA conformity, according to Kinedyne. The company said it also has designed a separate program exclusively for the Canadian market and regulations set forth by the country's National Safety Code Standard 10 - Cargo Securement (NSC10).
"Kinedyne has trained more than a thousand industry professionals since the program's inception, and offers the exclusive training course as a public safety contribution to the industry at no charge to participating trailer OEMs, dealerships, fleets and owner-operators," said Paul Wolford, vice president of sales and marketing for Kinedyne. "Kinedyne provides onsite training to all qualified parties and is the only company in the industry that will bring their expert staff and training tools directly to participants located anywhere in the U.S. and Canada."
Kinedyne also offers scheduled group training at locations throughout its North American distributor. All participants who complete the complimentary course receive a certificate of course attendance and a free Kinedyne Cargo Control Calculator.
"We use Kinedyne cargo control products at all our locations across the U.S., and had them come to a Virginia facility to present their Cargo Securement Regulation Training Program to our fleet staff," said Mike Greenberg, fleet manager / transportation manager for Kloeckner Metals Corporation. "My guys told me they were surprised that certain information they thought they knew was actually incorrect. Even I learned something, and I hold a DOT Master Certificate from TSI."
Kinedyne said it also offers cargo-specific regulation training for carriers who specialize in transporting unique and challenging types of cargo like metal coils, logs, paper rolls, concrete pipes, intermodal containers, flattened cars, boulders, large equipment and machinery.
Kinedyne plans to make a video of its Cargo Securement Regulation Training Program available online following MATS 2016. The video will be live on or about May 2 at http://kinedyne.com/video-library.html.
