Standard Forwarding Freight may be shutting down

Less-than-truckload carrier Standard Forwarding Freight ceased its daily operations this week. The carrier called it a temporary suspension of day-to-day operations and a workforce reduction. Teamsters, meanwhile, claims that the company intends to shut down its operations entirely.

Sikh Coalition suing California over CDL cancelation

An advocacy group for practitioners of the Indian religion, Sikhism, filed a class action lawsuit against the California Department of Motor Vehicles. The Sikh Coalition’s suit argues that California’s cancelation of over 17,000 non-domiciled CDLs is unlawful.
