Knowledge can be valuable – and knowledge of Volvo trucks could be worth more than $10,000 for one lucky driver. That’s because Volvo Trucks North America’s new “When You Know, You Win” promotion rewards winning drivers for getting to know a little more about Volvo’s products and customer support. The six-week promotion has daily prizes, plus a grand prize consisting of $10,000, a set of Michelin premium tires and a matching set of Alcoa Dura-Bright wheels.

Drivers can register for the promotion online (www.volvotruckpromotions.com) or via a toll-free phone call (1-866-987-7493 Monday through Fridays from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. EDT, and Saturdays 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. EDT). When registering online, they will view a message from Volvo about its products, services and company facts; those who register by phone will hear the same message. There is a limit of one entry per customer. The promotion runs from April 2 through May 12, 2007 and is open to U.S. residents with a valid commercial drivers license.

“More and more drivers have looked into what makes Volvo the first choice of professional drivers,” said Scott Kress, senior vice president – sales & marketing. “They understand the advantages Volvo has for them – driver comfort, productivity, uptime, safety and performance. This is a fun way to reward those drivers, while also showing other drivers some of the great things they should know about Volvo.”

The grand prize winner will be selected at the end of the promotion. In addition, a winner will be selected at random each day from all of the entries for prizes including a pair of Michelin premium tires with matching Alcoa Dura-Bright wheels, a Volvo VT 880 prize pack (consisting of a Volvo VT 880 hat, jacket and scale model of a VT 880), $100 cash prizes, Volvo Drivers jacket, and Volvo watches.

Volvo Trucks North America assembles its Volvo VT, VN and VHD trucks in the United States, at the ISO14001 and ISO9001 certified New River Valley Plant in Dublin, Virginia. Volvo engines for North America are assembled in Hagerstown, Maryland. Volvo sponsors the America’s Road Team national highway safety outreach program.

Volvo Trucks North America is part of the Volvo Group of companies, a publicly held company headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden. With 2006 sales of approximately $34 billion, Volvo’s business areas include heavy trucks, buses, construction equipment, marine and industrial drive systems, aerospace, and financial services. In the United States, Volvo shares are listed on NASDAQ and are traded as ADRs (symbol: VOLV).
