Houg selects NTE Trade to handle logistics

NTE Inc, provider of transportation managment and execution technology, announced that its NTE Trade system has been selected by Denver CO-based Houg Special Services to automate transportation tendering and execution processes.

Upon deployment of the system, all of Houg's customer shipments will be entered into NTE Trade, which will automatically manage carrier selection and tendering within Houg's carrier network. The system will provide Houg with real-time visibility so staff members can monitor shipment activity online and enable them to identify and address shipments requiring exception management.

Using NTE Trade, NTE will be receiving hundreds of the company's shipment tenders each month and executing all of them according to Houg's routing instructions. To transport the freight, Houg will be using a combination of its own fleet and more than 300 Houg-authorized carriers.
