Carrier Corp, a business unit of United Technologies Corp, has purchased all business operations of privately held Sensitech Inc. Sensitech will function as a wholly owned subsidiary of Carrier Corp; purchase terms were not disclosed.

Sensitech's proprietary technology enables the food and pharmaceutical industries to track and monitor assets across the supply chain, protecting the integrity of temperature-sensitive products. Its product portfolio includes analytic services, validated enterprise software systems, and data acquisition devices.

Based in Beverly MA, Sensitech has offices in Amsterdam, Calgary, Melbourne, Australia, Redmond WA, and Santiago, Chile, with service and distribution offices worldwide.

Carrier Corp, headquartered in Farmington CT, provides heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems, with approximately 45,000 employees and operations in 172 nations.
