Frozen Food Express Industries Inc, the Dallas TX-based temperature-controlled carrier, announced its financial and operating results for the three- and six-month periods ended June 30, 2005.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2005, total revenue increased 7.2% to $126.7 million from $118.1 million during the same quarter of 2004. Revenue from dedicated services rose 27.3% to $5.6 million compared with the year-ago quarter. Income from operations for 2005’s second quarter improved 21.4% to $6.1 million from $5.0 million during the same period of 2004. Net income advanced 66% to $5.8 million from $3.5 million.

Total revenue for the six months ended June 30, 2005, climbed 7.8% to $244.7 million from $227.1 million for the first half of 2004. Revenue from dedicated fleet services during the first six months of 2005 was $11.0 million, in contrast to $8.4 million during the comparable year-ago period. Net income for the first six months of 2005 was $9.1 million, compared with $5.4 million during the same period of 2004.
