Manhattan Associates Inc announced that Eimskip, the Iceland-based maritime transportation provider and operator of cold storage facilities, has chosen to standardize its operations with Manhattan's global supply chain system.

This system will work in concert with core ERP transaction modules of Eimskip's existing enterprise system partner SAP. The company will implement the systems in other parts of its business around the world in phases, with China being the first location to “go live.”

Eimskip has about 8,500 employees and 163 operational bases in 21 nations, and it operates more than 40 container and break-bulk vessels. The firm owns and operates the largest cold storage network in the world with more than 100 cold stores, including Atlas Cold Storage.
