    Fresh Brands Inc, the Sheboygan WI-based supermarket retailer and grocery wholesaler, reported its results of operations for its second fiscal quarter ended July 17, 2004.

    Fresh Brands Inc, the Sheboygan WI-based supermarket retailer and grocery wholesaler, reported its results of operations for its second fiscal quarter ended July 17, 2004.

    Net sales for the second quarter of 2004 were $163.2 million, an increase of $23.7 million, or 17.0%, compared with the second quarter of 2003. Income from continuing operations was $0.1 million versus $2.1 million for the same period in 2003.

    For the first two quarters of 2004, net sales totaled $359.5 million, a 15.6% gain over sales of $310.9 million for the prior year.
