ConocoPhillips Lubricants is offering Triton Synthetic Transoil 50, which is specifically formulated to meet the new Eaton Roadranger PS-164 Rev 7 specification. This transmission oil is recommended for use in manual transmissions of heavy-duty trucks operating in a variety of environments.

Triton Synthetic Transoil 50 will be available to ConocoPhillips Lubricants customers who buy Conoco, Phillips 66, and 76 Lubricants brands. It provides these benefits relative to older-generation products:

  • Increased protection against pitting and wear

  • Improved thermal stability and component cleanliness

  • Capability to reduce operating temperature in the transmission

ConocoPhillips Lubricants current synthetic transmission oils — 76 Triton Syn Lube CD-50, Conoco Syncon HP Synthetic Transmission Oil 50, and Phillips 66 Philguard Transoil 50 — will be replaced by Triton Synthetic Transoil 50. This oil is compatible with the products it will replace and may be used as make-up oil or for complete oil change in the Eaton transmissions. Due to revised technology, users will notice a color change from purple to a natural amber in the new product.
