Michelin Americas Truck Tires has added two new 17.5" tires, the 245/70R17.5 XZE1 LRG and XDE1 LRG, designed for medium-duty vehicles used in pick-up and delivery applications.

These tires feature compounding that helps resist scrub and abrasion, optimizes tread wear, and replies to the demands of regional and metro delivery service. Their open shoulders feature block-base bridging for straight-ahead and cornering stability, while resisting irregular wear. Thick sidewalls are built to resist shocks and impacts caused by curbing and impacts.

The XZE1 features a six-rib/five-groove tread pattern designed for adherence to wet and slippery surfaces. The XDE1 has a high density of lateral grooves for water evacuation and an efficient number of block edges for grip in mud and snow. More information is available from Michelin, PO Box 19001, Greenville SC 29602-9001.
