The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and Kayway Fleet Services, the commercial vehicle maintenance arm of Kleysen Transport Ltd, have joined forces in an effort to keep Manitoba's highways safer.

At a presentation in Kayway's new maintenance facility in Winnipeg, the RCMP received the keys to a 2000 Chevy Silverado commercial vehicle inspection unit donated by Kayway. This is the first vehicle of its kind in the Manitoba RCMP fleet that is dedicated solely to Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance inspections. The unit will be used daily to ensure that vehicles in the province are being operated and maintained safely.

This $48,000 unit was delivered complete with RCMP markings, strobe light bar, and all equipment needed to conduct commercial vehicle inspections.
