Transportation Costing Group (TCG) announces an upgrade to the LTL Cost Information System, the less-than-truckload application of TCG's motor carrier activity-based costing systems.

This upgrade includes the introduction of reports that compare actual versus standard costs for any segment of a carriers' traffic. Using the CIS Report Writer software, carrier can spot problem areas for specific customers or other traffic segments. The upgrade also includes the ability to re-rate each month's shipments automatically with a standard base tariff in order to judge overall revenue differences between their tariff and all “foreign” tariffs required by shippers.

Information on the shipment cost programs and services offered by TCG can be obtained by phoning Ken Manning at 800-328-9700, or by accessing the TCG web site at www.tcgcis.com.
