Freightliner Trucks announced that all 70-inch Mid and Raised Roof SleeperCabs for the Classic XL, Classic, and FLD SD truck models are now provided with a standard under-bunk storage compartment as part of the integral lower bunk. SleeperCabs for the Century Class S/T and Columbia in 48-, 58-, and 70-inch configurations and the Coronado 70-inch SleeperCab have featured the integral lower bunk with the under bunk compartment as standard since 2003.

The under-bunk storage compartment has removable partitions that can be used to arrange and separate essentials and other gear in the SleeperCab. Easy to open and close with a center-mounted, rattle-free latch, the compartment is also illuminated with flush-mounted low-heat/low-current lamps.

Durable plastic bunk tray and liners are easily cleaned. The bunk tray also keeps the mattress stable by trapping the mattress and keeping it centered on the bunk top. With the addition of optional black mats, interior cab noise reduction is enhanced.

The under-bunk compartment can be spec'd in two different packages: the compartment liner, removable partitions and auxiliary HVAC cover package; or the compartment liner, removable partitions, auxiliary HVAC cover and optional black mats. The latter option includes baggage door trim plates in the Coronado, Century Class S/T, and Columbia truck models.
