Springfield MO-based O&S Trucking Inc has merged with Stever Trucking and intends to make the company its refrigerated division. Part of its plan to diversify into refrigerated transportation, O&S says the merger will be established via a stock trade between the two firms.

Because of the merger, O&S now operates 450 power units, 230 refrigerated trailers, and 550 dry freight vans.

Stever Trucking's former president, Dick Grant, has been appointed senior vice-president of the new refrigerated division.

According to O&S, Keith Stever was the "S" in O&S "before the partnership had a peaceful split in 1987." Grant acquired Stever Trucking in 1995, said O&S.
