AccuWeather has opened a web site (www.business.accuweather.com) for public beta testing designed to provide weather information targeted to the needs of fleet operators. The site was streamlined to display all weather data vital to fleet operations on one page.

In addition, the site features customizable tools such as weather alarms, summary forecasts, historical comparisons, graphs, and detailed forecasts for 43,000 locations in the United States.

The historical-comparisons feature shows the effect of weather on transportation needs such as staffing and scheduling based on the same time period as previous years. Graphs are designed to highlight trends in weather affecting business operations.

AccuWeather provides testers with incentives to offer feedback to the site such as eligibility for discounts when the free testing period ends.
