Hub Group's revenue inches upward in 2Q

Hub Group Inc, a non-asset-based freight transportation management company providing intermodal, truckload, LTL, railcar, and related logistics and distribution services, has reported financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2003.

Overall revenue for the company increased 1.2% from the year before to $331.7 million. Intermodal revenue fell 3.2% to $234.7 million from $242.5 million in 2002, and truckload brokerage revenue dropped 3.9% to $48.5 million from $50.4 million in 2002. Supply chain systems logistics revenue surged 107.4% to $32.6 million from $15.7 million in 2002.

Net income for the second quarter totaled $1.5 million compared with a net loss of $2.2 million in 2002.
